What we collect
You can use this site without an account and without giving us any personal information. When you visit, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) to keep the site secure and working. The license search sends what you type to our server to find matches; we don't store searches alongside who made them.
If you email us, we keep the email so we can reply.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your personal information, as “sell” and “share” are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act.
- We don't pass your details to builders. If you call or email a builder, you deal with them directly.
- We don't use advertising trackers.
Builder information
Builder profiles are made from public records published by the Contractors State License Board, plus information the business publishes itself (website, phone, Google rating). A builder can ask us to correct their listing at any time.
Your rights
California residents can ask what personal information we hold about them, ask us to correct or delete it, and can't be treated differently for asking. Email hello@findaducontractor.com and we'll respond within 45 days.
Children
This site is for adults planning construction projects and isn't directed to children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. Material changes, such as adding analytics or a contact form, will be described here before they go live.
