What this site is
Find ADU Contractor is an information directory. We show public license records for California contractors and guides for homeowners planning an ADU. We aren't a contractor, a broker or a party to any agreement you make with a builder, and we don't take payment for jobs.
What a listing means
A listing means the builder's license passed the checks described on how we verify on the date shown. It isn't an endorsement, a guarantee of work quality, or a statement about a builder's finances. License status can change at any time, so confirm it with the Contractors State License Board before you sign a contract or pay a deposit.
Guides and costs
Our guides are general information, not legal, financial or engineering advice. Costs, rules and fees vary by property and city and change over time. Check with your city's permit office and qualified professionals.
Using the site
Use the site for personal research. Don't scrape it in bulk, overload it, or republish our builder profiles as your own. The underlying state data is public; you can get it from the state directly.
Liability
The site is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from your dealings with any builder or from relying on information here.
Governing law
These terms are governed by California law.
